Tokyo: World Leading Gourmet Food City

Japanese Food

According to the new Michelin Tokyo restaurant guide, the Japanese capital is the place to be for real gourmet dining. The city’s 150 selected restaurants received 191 stars in total, more than any other city in the world. Paris “only” has 97 stars. Sixty percent of the chosen restaurants serve Japanese food, some French, a handful of Chinese and Italian, and one Spanish.

New Budget Boutique Hotel Concept in Savannah

Inn at Mulberry Grove in Savannah, Georgia, might be the world’s first budget boutique hotel. Launched by the British born and educated hotelier Andy Morar, the hotel provides comfortable, affordable yet luxurious accommodation for smart and price-conscious Savannah travellers. The inn, situated along Georgia I-95 in Port Wentworth, Exit 109, offers an easy stop for Florida- or South Carolina-bound travellers and outdoes all other lodging establishments in the area.

I doubt the timing could have been better for a bargain model like Inn at Mulberry Grove. But the success didn’t happen overnight - Andy Morar built his first Port Wentworth hotel, Savannah Inn, in 1997. Rather than imitating the brand hotels, he decided to do something unique and with improvements as boutique wines, exclusive beers, and fresh waffles for breakfast his guests can expect to be well treated.

Address: Inn at Mulberry Grove, 101 O’Leary Road @ I95 Exit 109, Port Wentworth, Georgia 31407
